I would like to check out the possibility of using Lyptus for backs, sides, necks. Do any of you suppliers have Lyptus available??

I've got a local guy that has about 5,000 board feet of the stuff. If you can't find any I'd be willing to resaw some for you. Just let me know. |

Okay, youz guys that have actually handled Lyptus--what's it like, and what do you think about its usfullness for guitars? Necks? Endblocks? Linings? Backs & sides? Is it light or heavy? Porous? Does it go "ping" or "thud" when tapped? Information, information!!!
